Anne's research centers on how the immune system recognizes and responds to pathogens to prevent disease. In particular, recent work has begun to investigate the immune system of tuatara to identify their immunological defenses and how they function. By studying this ancient reptile, this research also aims to better understand how immune responses have evolved.
